Fuji Safari Park

This was so voluntarily on the boy's part , it was funny

who knew there was green spaces in japan?
only had to drive 2 hours from our house to fine the first hint...

well, it was raining when we arrived
so we stayed on the coach bus and drove thru the safari park first

and this is what we saw....
if you look closely above the rear view mirror....
yeah, they were doing it.


good thing Iain was looking out the side window

the zebra is using the bus as a scratching post
& the giraffe licked the rain
off this guys car for some time,
i hope he got a good photo
of it's tongue licking the windshield

And we're in Bavaria again...
so not really, just a bit themed...

turtles....I honestly think this was Iain favorite part
what is it with him and turtles?
we stayed here for a while,

Now this was our tour bus through the park the second time.
It's a Rhinoceros!
It even had a tail on the back.

The bus has an open cage enclosing you so
you can feed the animals.
They gave us food so we didn't have to
sacrifice our PP&Js

Our tour guide was very enthusiastic about
pointing out the animals from the States.

As I pointed out the Elk and Buffalo to Iain,
I explained that these animals live near
Great Grandma Motz and Uncle Ed...well,
Iain started looking for Grandma Motz and Uncle Ed,
he was a bit confused.
but it made me laugh.
